This 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) in person training course in Derby is designed for individuals and employers who require the knowledge and skills to equip them to respond effectively to medical emergencies, both in low-risk workplace environments and in everyday life, in line with HSE guidance.

Who is this Course For?

Entry Requirements:
- Must be 16 years or older
- Good command of English (reading, speaking, writing)
- No previous first aid experience required
- Must be physically able to take part in practical activities (e.g. CPR on a manikin)
Course content includes:
The EFAW course covers essential first aid knowledge and skills, including:
- Role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Choking
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, burns)
- Training includes example scenarios and opportunities to practice key skills in a supportive environment.
