Course Overview

This Security Guard course in Derby provides the essential training & certification required to apply for a SIA Security Guard licence.

This course is designed to prepare you for a professional career in the UK security industry, working in roles such as retail security, site guarding and stating guarding across various sectors. You'll need to also complete the mandatory Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification in addition to this course if you don't already have a valid certificate, as per SIA requirements.

You’ll begin your training with engaging eLearning modules that you can complete online at your own pace, followed by classroom-based sessions and online exams. This blended format is designed to maximise flexibility and reduce time spent in the classroom while ensuring you meet all SIA requirements.

Please note: If you’re looking to work in licensed venues or deal with more public-facing or higher-risk environments, we recommend the SIA Door Supervisor Course.
